If you are seeking the ultimate coworking experience, look no further than Downtown Works. The location is unbeatable, nestled in Little Italy, making it incredibly convenient for meetings and networking events.
What truly sets Downtown Works apart is its vibrant community of entrepreneurs. From seasoned professionals to budding startups, there's an inspiring energy in this space. I've had the privilege of connecting with fellow innovators, sharing ideas, and learning from their diverse experiences.
The amenities are top-notch with modern facilities and comfortable workspaces that cater to every need. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and ready to assist with anything I may need. So happy I found DW!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 25, 2023
Very secure location. It is very tastefully decorated with lots of exposed wood and high ceilings. They have snacks and coffee/tea on hand. Lots of different sized private offices for shared office spaces. Only negative thing is there is a lot of construction next door but that's not a fault of theirs.

I needed a place to work during construction at my home. Downtown Works is a wonderful, inviting space! It's very airy and light-filled, and there's coffee and plenty of snacks. The staff are super friendly and very, very attentive to needs. When I needed to make phone or Zoom calls, they have phone booths that have plenty of room. I really enjoyed the vibe and will be back because I was hyper-productive there!

Might be one of the nicest and cleanest co-working spaces I've been too.
Located right next to Santa Fe Depot and little Italy is Downtown Works. This multi-level working space comes with a fully equipped bar, large kitchen area, plenty of open seating, and a rooftop patio.
My team rented a large conference room for the day which had a gorgeous view of the bay and parts of downtown SD. The staff here checked on us every few hours and even brought us water and made sure we knew about the coffee machine in the kitchen. As the day came to an end they reminded us of the rooftop patio and the complimentary beers in the kitchen.
There's also a handful of sound proof rooms for those last minute phone meetings and a large common area for some laid back laptop work.
My team loved this place and we will most likely be here again in November.Helpful 25Thanks 0Love this 27Oh no 0 - Jerry M.San Diego, CA8915339Apr 10, 2021
I was losing my mind working from home, so I finally looked at these options downtown.
I've used shared office spaces/incubators before in Silicon Valley, and this is a great one. It has that startup/incubator feel that I like--modern, friendly, open. The space is very airy with several different office options. I chose the Open Desk plan, because I don't know where I'd like to sit and am enjoying the ability to float around. The vast majority seem to use offices and dedicated desks, so they can personalize, use extra equipment (e.g., dual monitors and Polycoms), and store items. There are also small lockers for rent. They have other conveniences, as listed on their website, that I'll likely use occasionally.
Also key are the facilities and perks: nice rooftop and balcony work options, several interior work options spread across 3 floors, plenty of phone booths, free printing!, free good coffee (Ryan Bros and Moto), free good beer (Mexican craft lager), and free and paid snacks. I haven't witnessed the social events yet (thanks, Covid), but the open location should work well for them. The manager said they hosted about 3 events/week per-Covid, so that should break the week up nicely. Speaking of Covid, they have good protocols with a nice blend of responsible safety without onerous restrictions.
It's also located close to many food options and public transit, which are key for a downtown location. Plus there's some parking, although I don't use it or know how it works. And the staff are super-friendly and responsive, which is always a huge plus.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oliver P.San Diego, CA2143Jun 6, 2022
I've been to Downtown Works here in the heart of San Diego more than a handful of times and it's always a great experience. The staff is friendly and helpful and they've got everything you could need in a sleek, modern work environment that always helps foster concentration and productivity. If you're visiting San Diego on business or just live in the area and need a break from the monotony of the work-from-home life, you should definitely check this place out.

When you boss tells you he's coming to San Diego for the day to do some coworking you throw up in your mouth a little bit. Just kidding, Boss Man, I didn't actually throw up but the thought of it did make me a little queasy. To top it all off he asks me to locate our office for the day and I was quick to tell him how much I despise coworking spaces. Reluctantly I passed on a few places I found here on Yelp and the reviews and pictures alone had him fixated on Downtown Works.
Well, it's safe to say, "not all coworking spaces are created equally."
This place RULES. The staff is beyond friendly and welcoming, the decor is top-notch, the setup doesn't feel like Boiler Room, the private rooms are comfy, the coffee machine is THE BEST... just so many great things happening here!Helpful 20Thanks 0Love this 22Oh no 0 - Danny W.Encinitas, CA490522413407Jul 1, 2019
Not only is this THE nicest and cleanest co-working space I've ever spent a few hours in, but they gifted me one of their mugs because I share the same initials as they do. :-)
The co-working space space has totally become oversaturated in recent years, so it's little things that Downtown Works does that make it stand out. Between the attention you'll get from the staff to stuff like encouraged stretching breaks every so often, they've separated themselves from the label of "Ah, another one of THOSE places."
They do a free day pass as their check-in offer so if you're a digital nomad, or just need a break from your normal office routine, take a peek and try to tell me this place isn't pretty awesome.Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 8Oh no 0 - James C.San Diego, CA517317130Mar 22, 2019
I've been to many co-working spaces in many of the major cities across the U.S. and abroad with varying degrees of quality in terms of layout, interior design, equipment, and overall tenant services. I think places like WeWork falls in the category of a co-working brand that does a pretty good job furnishing tangible aspects of giving a tenant a comfortable workspace. But the tangible or physical aspects is only one dimension of a conducive work environment. Work and life are intertwined, so it's important how your work environment contributes to your life experiences.
Downtown Works understands the work life equation. It transcends the physical dimensions by providing a space that human-centric and people oriented. The staff is perpetually affable and accommodating, the clients share time to interact with neighbors but also come focused and devoted to their respective businesses.
There is a special dynamic that few places like Downtown Works attracts and cultivates in their space. So if you are ever looking for that connection and those special qualities in a workspace, Downtown Works should be your on your top list in San Diego.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Teakre V.Los Angeles, CA333206635Dec 7, 2018
We absolutely love downtown works! And when I say we, I mean me and my pup!
I had looked at 5+ co working places and I found downtown works to be the best fit. A great espresso machine, snacks, modern kitchen, rooftop, printing services, and they are even dog friendly!
I work from home, so my membership is coming out of my own pocket. That should tell you just how much I really like this place! The one downside is they don't any option for parking. But the staff is wonderful and there is a great group of friendly people who work there.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
